Forsa Poll: German Chancellor Merkel's Conservatives lead widens to 17 points

The Forsa poll, conducted for Stern magazine and broadcaster RTL on German election, showed that Germany’s Chancellor Merkel’s CDU/CSU party lead climbed back by 1 point to 17 points versus 16 points seen last week.

CDU/CSU held on to their 39% vote, while the support for SPD dropped back by 1 point.
