NZD/USD bulls are on the offensive

FXStreet (Moscow) - NZD/USD bulls are full of energy early on Tuesday as they managed to push the pair to current Asian highs at 0.8486 from the opening level at 0.8470; Once the resistance zone of 0.8480/85 is firmly broken, 0.8500 will come into sight.

Kiwi has stuck in a range

NZD/USD charts are full of indecision. The bulls were not able to hold ground above 0.8500 level, but they still won’t let the bears drive the pair below 0.8400. It seems that investors just prefer to wait for RBNZ monetary policy decision and see what may come out of it (the central bank meeting is scheduled for Wednesday). On the intraday basis we dow not expect much vigor from Kiwi. It is most likely that NZD/USD continue to move within its current range, limited by 0.8500 on the upside, and 0.8450/40 on the downside.

What are today’s key NZD/USD levels?

Today's central pivot point can be found at 0.8463, with support below at 0.8445, 0.8421 and 0.8403, with resistance above at 0.8487, 0.8505 and 0.8529. Hourly Moving Averages are bullish, with the 200SMA at 0.8472 and the daily 20EMA at 0.8366. Hourly RSI is neutral at 57.
