Germany's Bundesbank: Underlying growth trend remains subdued

In its monthly report, Germany's Bundesbank noted that the German economy grew moderately in the first quarter of the year and added that the underlying growth trend remains subdued.

On a similar note, a spokesman for the German government said that the government did not see the need for an economic stimulus programme.
